PerAda @ FET 2011

PerAda had a very successful FET11.

We ran an exhibtion stand 'Pervasive Adaptation: it's here!' detailing our own coordination work and the research of ALLOW, REFLECT and SYMBRION. FRONTS had there own stand opposite.

Furthermore, we presented 2 very well attended and thought-provoking Sessions:

1. Heaven and Hell: Visions for Pervasive Adaptation
Slides (PDF):
Pervasive Adaptation and Design Contractualism:
Protecting Privacy from the PolicyWonks and the BreadHeads - Jeremy Pitt

2. Pervasive Socio-Technical Fabric

As well as stands and sessions we helped with setting up and running the FET11 MediaBooth and exhibited 3 posters:

1. This Pervasive Day:
Creative Interactive Methods for Encouraging Public Engagement with FET Research (View Poster)
2. REFLECT - Reflective Assistance - Pervasive Adaptation in Real Life Computing (View Poster)
3. FRONTS - Building simple formations in large societies of tiny mobile robots (View Poster)

Well done to FRONTS who won best poster!

All-in-all an exhausting yet illuminating experience that educates and delights and fosters the formation of friendships and connections that ultimately take us forward to new research heights.

Over the coming weeks we'll add the comprehensive media we collected from FET11 to this page.
